Subby Kicks, Deep Bass, Afro-Cuban Rhythms, Cuban Chants and Melody, Improvised Solo
Pouya is the producer and the leader of "Ariwo". In Ariwo, Pouya builds the musical structure on the basis of ideas extracted out of Afro-Cuban Rhythms, Cuban carnival melodies and techniques derived from Dub-Techno and Drum&Bass.
For Ariwo’s songs, Pouya co-composing with the Latin Grammy-winning percussion virtuoso Hammadi Valdes, figurehead of London’s Cuban music scene, Oreste Noda and some of the most in demand horn players from the jazz world, Sam Warner and Regis Molina.
Ariwo were the UK representative at Womex 2018 and have released two studio albums titled, Ariwo (Listen) & Quasi (Listen), produced and co-composed by Pouya Ehsaei.
With Ariwo, Pouya has performed at acclaimed music venues, clubs and festivals: Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Centre, Village Underground, Oval Space, Pickle Factory, Yaam, Oceanen, Womex, Womad, Fusion, Linecheck and more
